A guide to Canadian special branch badges
A friend of mine recently sent me a copy of an identification sheet for all the enamelled special branch badges introduced by the Canadian Army in 1974. I thought I’d pass this information on to you here. Although most of the symbolism is fairly straightforward—scales of justice for legal services, etc.—the use of a beaver for military engineers struck me as one of those truly creative ideas that’s so rarely seen in military insignia.
