Cockade colors
Many caps have a round or oval decoration with a "bull’s eye" consisting of three colored rings. Since this might help you identify caps in your own collection, I’ve compiled a list of some of the common combinations. The colors are listed from the outer ring to the center. In cases where the cockade is made up of three colored bars, the listing is from top to bottom or left to right.

By the way, if you're looking for reproduction cockades for a spiked helmet, check out Rudy Sauro. He's got a fabulous selection at reasonable prices.
