| East German fire/police officers’s cap I was told that this was the cap of an official at the East German Air Ministry because of the maroon band and blue piping. However, when I found it, it was sporting a Soviet navy cap badge, so who knows what its history is. Personally, I now suspect that it is a fireman’s cap and have added the appropriate insignia.
