Today, this task has been taken over by a private company, which apparently gives a percentage of the take to whomever writes the ticket. On paper this may seem a good idea, but in practice, it means that today’s ticketers (in bright green baseball caps) are far too enthusiastic and, in my humble opinion, impossible to reason with.
