Homburg
My ex-father-in-law used to call this model his “Anthony Eden” hat, since the former British Prime Minister was almost always seen wearing one of these. I think people nowadays associate this hat more with Al Pacino in “The Godfather.” The hat takes its name from the German resort town of Bad Homburg, where the Prince of Wales (later Edward VII) discovered the style and popularized it throughout Europe in the 20s and 30s. |
