United States   “Mortar board” Highland Park High School American high school students love the pomp and circumstance of graduation despite the fact that many recent graduates are so badly educated that they cannot even find New York City on a map. My high school colors were blue and white, so the boys were dressed in blue and the girls in white. There’s a little brass tag hanging from the tassel which reads “72” since this was the year of my graduation. Many new graduates hang their tassel from the rear view mirror of their car. This is a pretty tacky thing to do, but at least it’s better than fuzzy dice. Of course some people have both.
