Thai army officer’s service cap
The single row of visor decorations show that this is a service cap for a field-grade officer in the Thai army (generals have two rows, a slightly larger badge, and a wider red stripe on the blue velvet band). My buddy, Frederik, who lived in Bangkok for two years and gave me this wonderful cap, tells me that just behind the Thai Ministry of Defense, there are loads of uniform shops where all manner of headgear can be purchased—also by tourists.
