Soviet Union   Soviet Navy officer’s visor cap I’ve wanted one of these ever since I saw the movie “The Russians are Coming” back in the sixties. Theodore Bikel plays a curious submarine captain who runs his ship aground off Glochester, Mass. trying to sneak a peak at the United States back when the cold war was still pretty frigid. Happily, I finally found one on a trip to Prague in 1993. What a big, heavy hat! Must be hard to wear in a sub. Older officer’s caps feature a black chinstrap. Higher-ranking officers have metal visor trim.
