Canadian Army senior officer’s cap
Basically, the only difference between caps for junior and senior officers is the design of the visor decorations—in this case a single row of oak leaves (generals have a double row). The badge (silver for officers) is for the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, the oldest regiment in Western Canada and one of the most highly decorated in Canada. Their motto “Hosti Acie Nominati” translates “named by the enemy in battle.” Formed in Winnipeg in 1883, the regiment has participated in all major conflicts from 1885 to 1945.
