Denmark   Merchant marine officer’s cap (Ellermann Line) This is a typical officer’s cap for a private shipping line, but I’m having trouble identifying the badge. Since the cap was made here in Denmark, I called the manufacturer, but they informed me that the enamelled emblem is personally presented to the officer by the shipping line after he’s bought the rest of the uniform. Hence, they had no clue as to what this might be. One of my colleagues thinks it’s from the Erik Ellermann Line, but I haven’t had a chance to research this yet.
