United States Army officer’s summer cap (WWII)
Typical summer-issue cap of WWII vintage. Although the smaller badge is typical of those used during the thirties and early forties, I cannot make out the date on the cap band, which is either 1940 or 1950. Marked “Cap Service T.W. Khaki Officer’s” (T.W. stands for “tropical weight”), it was made by the Ideal Uniform Cap Co.
